CCS Program and Service Information 

CCS takes the health and safety of everybody in the CCS community very seriously. We are taking specific measures to respond to the onset of COVID-19 as best we can to ensure our employees and clients are as safe as possible, as we navigate through this global concern together.

Service Locations

Effective March 21, 2020, there will be no in-person services offered at any of our locations.  All services will be provided either by phone and/or online. All group sessions are cancelled. All LINC locations will be closed until April 5th, 2020, or until further notice.

General Guidance for Clients 

Here are the requests that we are making of clients to protect our CCS communities.

  • If you or a member of your household recently travelled from a country with a travel advisory (China, Italy, Iran and South Korea, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain), or other high risk countries, please do not attend CCS programs for 14 days after your return, unless self-quarantine procedures are being done by the member of the household in a place separate from where you live.
  • If you or someone in your household have been exposed to someone who has Corona Virus, please do not visit CCS programs until 14 days after you saw them.
  • If you or your child have any respiratory illness, even if you think it is a common cold or asthma, please do not attend the program until the condition has cleared up.
  • If you have fever, cough, muscle aches, tiredness, sore throat, diarrhea and difficulty breathing, please do not attend CCS programs and go get yourself checked.

CCS COVID -19 GENERAL SCREENING PROCEDURE:

PASSIVE SCREENING:

Signage posted at the point of entry to the office and at reception areas for clients with symptoms to self-identify, perform hand hygiene, and have access to tissues and a waste receptacle. Hand sanitizer will be available at all our reception areas. Please apply it when entering our facility.

Clients and visitors are advised to remain 6 feet away from reception desk.

ACTIVE SCREENING:

If clients are experiencing:

  • Fever
  • And/or new onset of cough
  • Or difficulty breathing,

AND any of the following:

  • Travelled abroad in the 14 days before the onset of illness, OR close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19
  • Close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness ( chest infection/ breathing problem) who has been abroad in the 14 days before their symptom onset

If the answer is YES, clients will be asked to choose one of the following options:

  • Rebook appointment 14 days after

OR

  • Receive service over the phone or online

AT RECEPTION AREAS:

Clients will be asked to pick up a copy of public health notice/fact sheet on the reception desk counter.

If clients are experiencing:

  • Fever
  • And/or new onset of cough
  • Or difficulty breathing,

AND any of the following:

  • Travelled abroad in the 14 days before the onset of illness, OR close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19
  • Close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness ( chest infection/ breathing problem) who has been abroad in the 14 days before their symptom onset

If the answer is YES, clients will be asked to choose one of the following options:

  • Rebook appointment 14 days after

OR

  • Receive service over the phone or online

We will continue to follow updates and protocol suggested by the Toronto Public Health, Provincial and Federal Health agencies, and World Health Organization to best ensure the safety of our community, volunteers and staff.
