Toronto, ON – May 30, 2025: Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to supporting immigrants and refugees, has unveiled a refreshed brand identity that reflects its evolution and enduring commitment to newcomers across the Greater Toronto Area.

Far more than a visual update, the new brand represents a renewed promise: to guide, support, and stand beside every newcomer as they build a life in Canada.

“Our rebrand isn’t just about fresh colours and typography, it’s a beacon for every person who’s arrived in Canada carrying hope in one hand and uncertainty in the other,” said Claudio Ruiz, Executive Director of CCS. “It says: We see your courage. We’ll point the way.

Founded in 1959, CCS has supported newcomers of all faiths, backgrounds, and identities through settlement services, language support, employment programs, and culturally sensitive guidance. As the needs of Canadian newcomers have changed, so too has CCS, prompting a rebrand that better aligns with its role today.

“CCS has grown and evolved. Our brand needs to reflect that growth,” said Nadia Afrin, Manager of Communications and Special Projects. “We want everyone—clients, partners, and the wider community—to instantly recognize the support, hope, and direction that CCS offers.”

The rebrand was developed in partnership with Jackson Wynne Brand Consultants, led by Creative Director Paul Phillips, and shaped by extensive engagement with CCS staff, clients, and community partners. Through workshops, interviews, and collaborative sessions, the new identity emerged as a clear expression of CCS’s mission and purpose.

“This new identity is not a departure from who we are, it’s a clearer expression of who we’ve always been,” said Phillips. “We focused on themes of direction and hope, because for the people CCS serves, changing direction requires both courage and clarity. This brand is built to reflect that.”

The brand update includes a redesigned logo, renewed messaging, and refreshed visual materials. These changes will roll out gradually across CCS communications, signage, and public events. A fully redesigned website is planned for release in July 2025.

“This rebrand bridges our history with our future,” added Ruiz. “It positions CCS to continue doing what we do best, welcoming newcomers with compassion, dignity, and the unwavering belief that they belong here.”
