On behalf of CCS Board:

CCS Board is very pleased to announce the appointment of Claudio Ruiz Pilarte as our new Executive Director. With a remarkable track record spanning over two decades in the non-profit sector, Claudio brings a wealth of experience and a people-centered approach to our CCS family.

As an immigrant and former refugee, Claudio intimately understands the challenges newcomers and refugees face during the integration process. His dedication to empowering newcomers and refugees aligns perfectly with our vision of helping them thrive in Canada.

With a strong passion for governance and transformational leadership, Claudio believes in transparent, accountable, and effective management as the pillars of success for non-profit organizations.

Claudio’s achievements, including co-leading the community initiative to proclaim October as Hispanic/Latin American Heritage Month and ensuring meaningful inclusion of Pan-American communities in key committees of the Toronto Pan-Am Games, reflect his commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

Academically, Claudio’s continuous growth is evident through his educational achievements, which include executive education from prestigious institutions such as Osgoode Hall Law School and Harvard Business School.

We are confident that Claudio’s exceptional background and dedication will contribute significantly to CCS’s success. We extend our deepest gratitude to Yosief Araya, who has served as our Interim Executive Director.

As we move forward together, let us embrace change with determination to positively impact the lives of those we support. We are grateful for your continued support and dedication to our mission and look forward to an exciting future with Claudio leading the way!

Together, let’s continue to envision a Canada where newcomers feel at home, thrive, and make meaningful contributions to society.
