Sometimes, as we know, in life, timing is everything.

When QE Home / Quilts Etc went looking recently for a charity they could support with a donation of 25 of their beautiful Throw blankets, little did they know they would end up supporting a group of 45 temporal workers coming to Toronto from El Salvador to work in Canada in early December.

Barbara Fraser, a district manager with the national bedding retailer, worked with the team at the Bramalea City Centre location in Brampton and identified CCS through a simple Google search of GTA charities. Around the same time, CCS had received the request from the Salvadorian consulate in Toronto to help outfit the incoming workers with warm winter clothing, including coats and boots and had been busily collecting the clothing items from staff and community partners.

We were obviously thrilled to be able to bolster the clothing drive with a complement of warm, cozy blankets!

And once the Bramalea City Centre team contacted our Brampton office, Daljeet Bhatti, a settlement worker, connected with Ranbeer Kaur Nagara and Jagni Bhavsar (flanking Daljeet in the attached photo) at the store for the hand-off.

All the company wanted to do was to get a timely donation to people in need. Did they ever!

Thank you QE Home / Quilts Etc for thinking of us and for making the Canadian winter just a little bit more bearable for our newest community members.
