Catholic Crosscultural Services has a long history of helping newcomers, immigrants and refugees of all religions, ethnicities and cultural backgrounds to settle, integrate and succeed in their new country.

Since 1954, we have always stepped up when the call came in from the world’s most vulnerable people — from post-war refugees coming from Europe, to those escaping the Hungarian revolution in the 1950’s, to Chilean refugees fleeing political persecution and the Vietnamese “boat people” evading political unrest in the 1970’s, to those escaping strife in El Salvador and Guatemala in the early 1980’s, to Syrian refugees avoiding a civil war in 2016 — we have always been there with programs and services to welcome them and instill a sense of belonging in their new country.

And we are proud of this tradition.

Yet once again, the call has come in and the time to do something is NOW.

As you may know, Canada is welcoming 40,000 Afghan refugees fleeing political and social unrest right now and over the coming months.

Help us STAND UP for Refugees

Join us in supporting members of this community with resettlement needs and services, including a focus on physical health and wellness initiatives for refugee youth and children.

  • Indoor/outdoor recreational activities, so the kids can learn teamwork, leadership, interact with peers, beat social isolation and stay active.
  • Counselling and workshops to help them deal with trauma and adjust to a new country.

Refugees Have Names & Stories – Join us in Amplifying Their Voices!

The campaign runs from November 30 – December 31, 2021. Please consider making a donation and help us support those who have been through so much.
