CCS’ first-ever virtual auction was a hit, with almost $2,000 raised over its five-day run in late June for CCS programs and services, while concurrently supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs when they need us most.

CCS Vendors & Suppliers Make it Happen
We could not have staged the event without the wonderful support from many of our business and community partners who donated much of the auction swag. Many thanks to Dell, Sephora, Direct Dial Canada, Food Basics store 630 in Mississauga (thank you Karen Lobb!), Art Gallery of Ontario, Wintergreen Learning Materials, Sonsuh Educational Supplies, Guess, Insight Canada, and Beachcomber Hot Tubs.

Showing Our Local Love
The suite of auction items also featured a $200 private training fitness package, generously donated by Toronto personal trainer Saumea Thayalan, and $100 gift cards to Devi Wellness Company, a Scarborough-owned and operated natural bath and body care provider, and Sheridan Nurseries, a GTA-founded home and garden company. These items were popular and we were pleased to provide exposure to businesses in the communities where we live and work.

Hunting for Deals: The Winning Bidders
We’d also like to thank the following employees, volunteers, donors and community members for their generous support: May Amouri, Stasia Hawrylak, Sana Shah, Darcy Bonner, Agnes Thomas, Nermeen Khafagy, Nadia Afrin, Violette Yarenko, Salman Khatri, Farhana Jogiat, Vaughn Simpson, Carmen Diston, Stephanie Rutherford, Manjeet Badyal and Sean Kennedy.

Stay Tuned!
Work has already begun on the next virtual auction, slated for early 2022.
