CCS was happy to host two sharp minds recently from one of the world’s largest companies and of the most influential economic and cultural forces on the planet – Amazon.
Recruiters’ Simranjit and Het visited our Brampton location on March 5 for a networking and information-sharing event for newcomer clients.
The attendees got insights into Amazon’s work culture and vision built on ingenuity and innovation with collaboration and creativity two of the key corporate values. Work life is characterized as being “flexible” to accommodate life goals like skills-building, training or education, and the company places an emphasis too on hiring from within to promote internal career growth.
The recruiters also discussed Amazon’s hiring procedures, recruitment strategies — and how candidates can market themselves to catch a recruiter’s attention — and looked at employee benefits (which feature an education allowance).
“I think it was really helpful for our clients to gain an understanding of what the work culture is like at a big, successful company like Amazon and how they could fit in,” said Anita Shiwnath, a Settlement Services Manager in the Brampton office.
