Since 1954, CCS has been privileged to serve immigrants and refugees who have come to call Canada home. Whether it is settlement or integration, we focus on providing a welcoming environment in building people’s strengths, nurturing their talents, and helping them to grow and prosper. We always strive to improve existing programming and tailor our offerings to best respond to the emerging needs of the diverse communities we serve and we have been successful over the years in our steadfast efforts at making change happen for clients from all over the world.

The past six decades have been phenomenal in many ways, and now more than ever we believe that we need to share the stories of change and impact with many of you who have been with us along this journey of welcoming and settling newcomers who are coming to our country. So, we are launching a quarterly external newsletter and we are proud to present the inaugural edition of the CCS Connects.

In terms of the content you can expect to see, we’ll profile our employees and celebrate client successes. We’ll update on how our programs drive positive outcomes for our participants and how we are deepening relationships with the communities we serve, and our partners, funders and donors. We’ll outline how we are providing leadership on immigration and settlement, locally and globally, through research and evidence-based practices.

It takes a lot of time and energy to publish a newsletter. We would like to thank Nadia Afrin, Matthew Klass, Anchugan Siva, Darcy Bonner, Sathya Thillainathan and Manimolie Kanagasabapathy for their work in compiling this edition and Muhanad Al Bender, for his vision on the design and layout elements. We would also like to recognize CCS employees for their continued passion and commitment to delivering our programs and services because these stories would not be possible without their dedicated efforts.

On behalf of the entire CCS team, we hope you enjoy our debut edition and we look forward to your feedback.

Shalom

Agnes
