Language Instruction for Newcomers in Canada (LINC)

CCS understands the importance of communicating in English language for making a smooth transition to living in Canada. LINC classes are designed to provide participants with basic communication skills that are essential for their social, economic and cultural integration into Canadian society. All classes are divided into levels running from Monday to Friday for 5 hours each day with 2 months per session.

Program Description:

  • English classes including Literacy, Level 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7
  • Programs focus on the improvement of listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar, with an emphasis on oral comprehension
  • Fast track program which assist job ready participants to focus on current labour market information, resume preparation, cover letters and application forms
  • Computer Assisted Instruction (for some levels)
  • Free childminding services for children from age 6 months to 6 years

Locations and class time offered:

  • Eglinton Location (daytime classes: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm; afternoon classes: 1:45 - 6:45 pm)
  • Markham Location (daytime classes: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm; afternoon classes: 1:45 - 6:45 pm)
  • Mississauga Location: (daytime classes: 9:00 am - 2:30 pm; evening classes: 4:15 - 6:45 pm)
