Since 1954, CCS has provided immigrants and refugees with a number of programs and services to make the transition to their new life easier.

Settlement Services:
Newcomers to Canada can benefit greatly from this service. The program assists immigrants in settlement and integration into Canadian society by one-to-one counselling and information sessions.

Language Instruction for Newcomers in Canada (LINC):
LINC classes are specialized classes for immigrants, convention refugees and caregivers, who would like to learn English as a second language. LINC also provides students with free childminding services while they are in class.

Job Search Workshop (JSW) :
If you are trying to find a job in Canada, this workshop will help you to develop the skills that you need to make your job search successful.

Settlement and Education Partnership in Toronto (SEPT) :
Located in several schools and libraries in the Scarborough region. SEPT Settlement workers provide newcomer high school students and families with information about free services available by the government and the community.

Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program (PSR) :
Assists parishes and religious orders within the Archdiocese to bring refugees from abroad and integrate them into the Canadian society.

Supportive Services for Women:
Crisis intervention and support.
One-on-one counselling.
Group workshops.

Housing Support:
Facilitating residents of Peel in locating suitable and affordable housing.
